ASTN is the peak body for the sports tech industry in Australia, providing advocacy, knowledge, and connection. They support the industry through programs such as pre-accelerators, accelerators, global engagement, education, and events.
ASTN is focused on attracting more women into the sports tech space and has achieved a 50-50 gender split in their last two cohorts. They are also working on partnerships with sporting clubs and leagues to bring in startups with innovative solutions.
Given the growth in women's sport of recent years there is a need for more innovation in areas like women's protective wear, apparel, health and fan engagement.
